It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling. It's made of soft materials and has mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer service number should you encounter any issues. In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to connect to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It's also machine-washable, which is a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a baby! The CoZee is an excellent choice for keeping your child close during their first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off. The Chicco Next2Me Magic This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. It does have a lot of excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a brand new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to installation underneath any bed. Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with one push of a button. This was especially helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them. The side panel can be lifted on its own, but it's not recommended as this increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent feedings at night. The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It comes with a tilting function to help reflux babies, and an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after a meal. It's also very spacious and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides. Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does come with a long instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still fairly portable and can be moved from room room easily. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus if you need to transport it. The only issue our testers found was that the side panel didn't move like some of the other models, which made it slightly harder to observe your child from your bed. The Shnuggle Air If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond between you and your newborn. The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other models. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to reduce colic and reflux while the zip down side allows you to feed or comfort your baby during the night. The kit for converting cots is also well designed, with clear instructions. It comes with everything you need. It took us around an hour to construct and was relatively easy to put together. The only issue with the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. However, it was an easy process and the quality of the materials used was excellent. In the co-sleeping mode, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section because it lets them easily reach out to their newborn for feeding and comfort without having to get up from their own bed.
